Chettinad Nethili Karuvadu Kuzhambu Recipe - Dry Fish & Mango Curry Recipe

Hubby loves dried fish curry, not only dried fish, he love anything fishy. I have mentioned this all the times whenever i post fish recipes. I love making fish curries for him and sit on his side asking him how it taste, because each time i make different curries. Most of the time it is his favorite fish curry. I have posted a dried fish fry recipe before, that is the first time i cooked using dried fish. Dried fish is only for the heavy fish lovers, because it has a intense fishy taste which i dont like. And also it is packed with tons of salt, so you have to wash it well to get rid of it and also you shouldn't add any salt untill the dish is finished, taste it and add it in the end.

Baby Corn

Its been a white since i shared kids lunch box recipes. So i thought of sharing this quick lunch box which i made for me few days back. It is a delicious combo. And the pulao is perfectly mild for kids and the garlic baby corn you can reduce the chilli level when you make this for kids.

Pan Seared Fish Fillets with Creamy Lemon Butter Sauce - Continental Food 6

Ever since i started my continental food series, i have been planning to make a continental style fish platter.. Finally made it a week before for hubby and he enjoyed it to the core. He told me that he loved the crispy fish skin with the lemony creamy sauce and the fish was very moist and flaky. If you serve this along with butter rice and some veggies, i am sure it will be a complete meal.

Homemade Play Doh Recipe - Play Doh without Cream of Tartar

My little one loves play doh. I used to buy it at stores very often, since my little one throw it at random places and when i find those, it is hard and unusable. So i have to keep buying it often, which i found a waste of money. So i decided to make it at home.

When i searched online for recipes, most of the recipes has cream of tartar in them. I couldn't get it in my place. So i looked for recipe which dont used them. I came across no cook play doh recipe. which i was not confident enough to try, because i thought it will turn like a chapati dough and would dry up soon. After many research and googling, i finally stopped with this recipe.

I would say this is a fool proof recipe and it is just amazing. Plus you have the satisfication that it is kids friendly. Even if you have the toddler who puts everything in mouth, this is completely safe. This play doh is so soft, easy to work with, long lasting and kids friendly.

You could just put this in a air tight container and store it away for many months. This doesn't get dried up easily as well. So it is easy to work with. Hope you will give this a try and let me know how it turns out for you.

Preparation Time : 5 mins
Cooking Time : 2 mins per batch
Makes one medium size ball of playdoh

Ingredients:

All Purpose Flour / Maida - 1/2 cup
Water - 1/2 cup
Salt - 1/8 cup
Vinegar - 1.5 tsp
Vegetable Oil - 1.5 tsp
Food Colours as you like
Essence as you like

Method:

Take all the ingredients in a sauce pan, mix well. Cook on a low heat till it thickens and leaves the sides of the pan and comes as a nonsticky mass.

Remove it to counter top and cool it down. Now knead it to form a smooth ball.

Once it is cooled, store in a air tight container.

Wash the pan and repeat the process with different colour.

Notes:

1)Use individual container for each colour, this will prevent staining.
2)After playing, store it in a closed container.
3)If it gets dried, add few drops of water and knead well. So it gets soft again.
4)This will last for many many months, even years.
